dork love scans

Hey all,

For the (many) of you sending me messages asking "xcuse me wtf have all the scans gone plz", the answer is thus. All the scans were being hosted, in some way, shape, or form, by sublimeparadigm. As much as I've tried to contact her over the past year +, I can't get ahold of her at all, even IRL. As much as this worries me, there's really nothing we can do but sit back and wait for our benevolent ruler to return.

I apologize for the lack of scans here at Dork Love Scans, but until we can rouse sublimeparadigm from whatever cave she's crawled into, we will just have to wait.

Hey everyone!

Just a quick post to let you know that we're not dead; just busy. You should head over to sublimeparadigm's LJ for her IchiIshi Party; there may or may not be doujinshi there. ;)

Also, just a quick hello and introduction. Because our beloved Kantoku has Serious IRL Biznis coming her way, she's appointed me as her Fuku-Kantoku. I'm sure she'll make a post regarding this soon.

And finally, regarding the big LJ rules revision drama... we'll come up with something. Don't you worry about us. But just in case, if there was a particular scanlation you liked, I'd suggest going back and snagging it. Just sayin.

Chances are many of you were expecting this to happen anyway. I'd been mulling over it for a while, but being alerted to this was kind of the last straw.

From now on, all scanlations will be friends-locked. All this means is that for those of you who are only watching the community without being a member will now have to join in order to see the posts. And this includes previous scanlations, which I will be going back and f-locking.

Thank you for your understanding, and sorry for the drama. XD


p.s. A new scanlation will be up within the next couple days. 8D

Look, I don't want to be a nazi. But I have this in our userinfo, and it's been there for a while:

Q: Can you put your releases in a zip for easy download?
A: I'd rather not, to be honest. It's not really my (our) intention to "distribute" our scanlations. I'd much prefer they be kept within livejournal, not that I'm going to stop anyone from sharing outside of it.

And, as I label at the beginning of each post: Please do not distribute scans without permission.

So, whoever is taking our releases, uploading them, and posting them to places such as Baka-Updates and Manganews, please stop distributing our scanlations. Having them "tracked" by these sites is one thing. *Providing downloads* is another.

Just . . . please don't, okay? It'll just cause problems for us. These scanlations are meant for the livejournal fandom, not for the anime/manga community at large. Because it's much more comfortable that way, you know?
